David Foster’s Daughter Erin Really Approves Of Katharine McPhee: ‘She’s Amazing!’

David Foster’s daughter, Erin, seems to have gotten closer with the music producer’s girlfriend, Katharine McPhee.

Even though Foster and McPhee have not yet confirmed the real status of their relationship, the two have been spotted out on dates multiple times. Previously, the 35-year-old daughter of Foster with ex-wife Rebecca Dyer called McPhee her “stepmom.”

But a source claimed that Erin’s social media post was just a “joke.” “This is not at all true… They can’t even perform together without people saying they’re headed down the aisle,” the source told People.

While speaking with the same publication, Erin gushed over the 33-year-old “Scorpion” actress and called her “amazing.” “I really like her. She’s awesome. My dad is kind of a hopeless romantic, and Katharine’s awesome. We really, really like her, and we’ve known her for a really long time. And if he’s happy, we’re happy,” she said.

Last week, photos of Foster and McPhee walking arm-in-arm in Brentwood, California surfaced online. But a source told the same publication that they made it look like they were a couple to make the paparazzi speculate on their status.

But even though Erin approves of McPhee’s rumored relationship with her dad, she slammed reports that the former “American Idol” contestant will be his fifth wife. Foster’s divorce from ex-wife, Yolanda Hadid, has just been finalized last week.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the ex-couple finally came to an agreement, but still have to discuss spousal support, property and attorney’s fees, among other things. Foster and Hadid were married for four years before announcing their decision to split in 2015.

Last month, Hadid told the same publication that it was “heartbreaking” to split from Foster. “Of course it was heartbreaking. It’s my marriage – it’s heartbreaking, but so is life. David and I had a great seven-year run. It became very difficult,” she said.

Hadid was diagnosed with Lyme disease a few years ago, and her illness became one of the reasons for their breakup. “The only reason I shared this story is because people need to understand that being a sick person is really hard, but being a caretaker of a chronically ill person is harder and people just get to their limit,” Hadid said.
