This Day For Republicans: Conservative Super PACs Step Up Attacks On Obama
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will spend Wednesday preparing for the first presidential debate of the season at the University of Denver in Colorado. The debate will be at 9 p.m. EST.
The Romney campaign is increasing its outreach to Hispanic voters after recent polls have indicated President Barack Obama is leading among Hispanics, independent and women voters.
With less than five weeks left until Election Day, Republican-affiliated super PACs are increasing their attacks against Obama. Americans Crossroads and its affiliated Crossroads GPS announced it would spend $16 million for a one-week ad buy for both the Senate and presidential contests in eight swing states, the Center for Responsive Politics reports.
In addition to Crossroads, the conservative Susan B. Anthony -- an anti-abortion 501(c)(4) group -- has formed a new super PAC focusing on attacking Obama’s pro-choice stance on abortion.
