‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Chad And Abigail’s Feelings For One Another Resurface

Her strong belief that he was in love with another woman led to their decision to divorce, and both have seemingly moved on since then. However, as new drama throws them back together again, Chad and Abigail will find themselves drawn to one another once more on the Thursday, July 20 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Things went south for Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abigail’s (Marci Miller) marriage after she became convinced he was also still in love with Gabi (Camila Banus), and despite Chad’s best attempts to prove otherwise on the NBC soap, Abigail didn’t budge from her convictions, and later filed for divorce. Following the plane crash on the Greek island, Chad and Gabi did in fact reignite their romance and get back together, and since returning to Salem, they also witness Abigail marry Dario (Jordi Villasousa) in an attempt to help him stay in the U.S.

However, despite their seeming to move on with other people, Chad and Abigail have both stayed in one another’s orbit, especially as they co-parent their son, Thomas. Abigail still does actually love Chad, and only married Dario as a friend, in an effort to help him. However, that has since proven to be a mistake, one that has reaffirmed her feelings for her ex.

Abigail has quickly learned that Dario is involved in shady dealings, and has been committing counterfeit crimes, embezzling, and has even stolen the money from Countess W, a DiMera company. She confided in Chad about the crime committed against him, but cautioned him not to go to the cops. She then confronted Dario and demanded he return the money he stole or she would turn him in, but he shockingly turned things around on her by producing a photo that seems to implicate that Chad was the one who murdered Deimos. He threatened that if he went down, Chad would also.

Now, Abigail is stuck with Dario and is unsure of what she can do to keep him from committing further crimes, and also keep Chad safe as well.

Meanwhile, Chad has since been thinking about Abigail again since their discussion and argument. Not only has he again looked at her engagement ring and thought back to their happier times together, but he also has some concerns about her safety now that he knows Dario is committing dangerous crimes. He is worried that she could be in danger, and he isn’t sure of how to help her.

Now, as they are both thrown back into one another’s paths as they deal with their separate conflicts over the same issue, both will realize that their feelings for the other have not disappeared at all, and have simply been simmering beneath the surface overall.

Of course, if they decide that they need to reunite again in the future, it poses a specific threat to each. If Abigail leaves Dario, he will turn Chad in for potentially committing murder. And if Chad leaves Gabi, it will break her heart once again.
