‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: How Will Gabi React To The Truth About Jake?

She was convinced after a DNA test that he was her deceased husband who somehow defied the odds and was still alive despite her donating his heart. Now, Gabi will be left reeling when she finally learns the truth about how Jake/Stefan is alive and well in Salem on the Thursday, July 16, episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

After a secret DNA test confirmed that Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) was Stefan, Gabi (Camilla Banus) became more determined than ever to get her husband back, even though he couldn’t remember anything about his life—even after taking some of the memory restoration serum from Dr. Rolf (William Utay). Not only has Gabi been insistent on his resuming his alleged former identity, his mother, Vivian (Louise Sorel), who came back to Salem to avenge Stefan’s death, also wants him to come back to being the son she loved. However, all of them have now learned the truth from Ivan (Ivan G’Vera) and will be left stunned by the fact that Jake and Stefan are not the exact same person—but were twins.

Realizing that Stefan and Jake were twins will change everything. While Vivian never knew her son until he was an adult, learning she had another will undoubtedly be a shock. For Gabi, however, it will likely be a huge blow, since she was convinced she was going to have her husband back. While Jake also being a DiMera will mean that he has a legitimate claim to the family empire, which could help her unseat Chad, his not being Stefan means she can’t be by his side if he tries—and she is once again alone since she has no claim to his romantic life.

Meanwhile, as she reels from the news, elsewhere in Salem, Sami (Allison Sweeney) will also be left in shock. Not only was she stunned to learn that her daughter, Allie (Lindsay Arnold), is pregnant and that everyone knew except for her, but she will now likely learn about Allie’s plans for the baby—which are to give it up for adoption—most likely, to Sami’s ex-husband—Rafe (Galen Gering).
