‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Jennifer Pleads With Abe For Forgiveness
Her son’s guilt over what happened to Theo kept him from attending the traditional Christmas celebration with his family. Now, after genuinely feeling the lack of his presence during the hanging of the Horton ornaments, Jennifer will make an emotional holiday plea to Abe on JJ’s behalf on the Friday, Dec. 22 episode of “Days of Our Lives.’
JJ (Casey Moss) opted out of the family get-together, and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) couldn’t get over his not being there on the NBC soap. Following the party coming to an end, she then decided to go to the hospital to see Abe (James Reynolds), and try to mend the broken relationship between the Carver and Horton families.
Abe has been angry ever since JJ shot Theo (Kyler Pettis) while in pursuit of a suspected thief, and JJ being cleared of any wrongdoing and being allowed to return to the police force only made him angrier. Knowing that Abe can’t forgive him, especially in light of the news that Theo may not actually wake up from the coma he has been in sense, JJ spiraled into a depression, hence his decision not to go to the family party.
Now, Jennifer will plead with Abe to try and find it in his heart to forgive her son, not only because it’s the right thing to do in order to keep the friendship between their families, but also because she will feel that Theo would want his father to forgive as well. Whether her plea works or not, she will know that it was important to try.
What Jennifer doesn’t know however, is that her attempt to get Abe to forgive JJ is even more necessary than ever. His guilt drove JJ to decide to take his own life, and he even wrote letters to Jennifer, Abigail (Marci Miller), Gabi (Camila Banus), Lani (Sal Stowers), Hope (Kristian Alfonso), Abe and Theo, telling them goodbye. He was prepared to go to the town square to shoot himself with the same gun he shot Theo with when Gabi came to see him, and realized what he was planning to do.
Though she successfully managed to talk him off the edge for now, and hasn’t told Jennifer what happened yet, the fact that JJ got to that point will make the need for Abe’s forgiveness even more important. And if a Christmas miracle can be worked in Salem, it would be that.
“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
