‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Kayla Lands In Hot Water At Work

She has been letting her husband’s recently discovered son shadow her at work because of his alleged interest in becoming a doctor. However, that will prove to have been a major mistake for Kayla when she lands in hot water at the hospital because of Tripp’s secret plot against her on the Wednesday, June 5 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Tripp (Lucas Adams) was convinced by Jade (Gabrielle Haugh) that Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) was responsible for his mother Ava’s death on the NBC soap, and since he has had a hard time believing what anyone has told him about the fact that Ava was not a good person, he wanted vengeance for her death. Unaware that Jade lied to him and told him Kayla was responsible because she wanted revenge on her for no longer supporting her after Joey (James Lastovic) ended things between them, Tripp came up with a plan to shadow Kayla at the hospital, waiting for the right opportunity to destroy her.

Tripp realized later on that the perfect way to get vengeance on Kayla was to mess with the dosages of medications she prescribed to patients, something he was easily able to do by quickly making adjustments on her iPad whenever she left it behind. He managed to do it after another patient had already died, and also to Hope (Kristian Alfonso) when she was hospitalized after being drugged at the Marton House party. That was caught before it was administered, and Tripp was credited with the discovery. Kayla had since beaten herself up about the fact that she thinks she almost killed Hope with a wrong medicine dosage.

Tripp also adjusted one more medication before heading to the July Fourth barbeque with the rest of the Johnson family. However, while at the party, he started to doubt his plot, because he realized for the first time just how nice the entire family was to him, and he no longer wanted to hurt Kayla for what he perceived to be her crime. However, his remorse has come too late.

Kayla has now been called in by the hospital administrator, and will be stunned when she realizes the incident with Hope wasn’t the first time she allegedly gave a patient the wrong dosage of medication. She will learn that her deceased patient was also allegedly given a wrong dosage, and she will be floored. Kayla won’t understand how she could suddenly have started screwing up so much, and she won’t believe that she did it twice. Still, even if she is positive she hadn’t overdosed a patient and thinks it is a mistake in the records, she will have to face the consequences of her supposed actions.

Now, as she deals with the fallout, Tripp may feel his guilt get the best of him. He had started to think the plan was a bad idea, but now, his actions may be costing a woman he no longer feels a secret hatred for some unbearable heartache. And, it will be his fault that everything will start falling apart for the family.
