‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Steve And Kayla Celebrate A Milestone
They’ve gone through a lot the last year and faced challenges they could never have expected, but finally, Steve and Kayla will have a genuine reason to celebrate on the Thursday, July 26 episode of “Days Of Our Lives.”
The biggest struggle Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) have faced yet came in the form of his going blind due to the poison that John (Drake Hogestyn) was giving him when the ISA had targeted Steve for death. Since then on the NBC soap, there has been a focus on finding Steve a miracle which would allow him to see again. However, a bionic eye that they learned about initially didn’t seem like an option because it was controlled by Stefan (Tyler Christopher).
Kayla then worked behind Steve’s back to get the technology which would help him see, knowing he would never go for it if he knew what she had done to get it. Now, the surgery was done, and the couple has been waiting to find out if it worked.
Now, the bandages will officially come off of Steve’s face once again, and after their initial setback the first time they tried, the pair will be delighted when this time, he is able to declare that he can see. It will not only be a joyous occasion for them because it means the surgery worked, but also because it will be the first time in months he’s been able to properly see his wife, because even before he fully lost his sight, his vision was blurry, and he often couldn’t see everything as clearly as he once did.
Of course, while this will be a celebratory situation for the couple, their happiness won’t last long if Steve ever finds out how he came to get his bionic eye. He wanted nothing to do with it because of Stefan, and Kayla had struck a deal with him to help him blackmail Kate (Lauren Koslow) in order to get it. She then lied to Steve about the involvement Stefan still had in it. If her husband ever learns the truth, it could spell catastrophe for their future.
“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
