‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Xander Is Interrogated Further About Deimos’ Murder

He seemed like the most likely suspect to have potentially murdered his uncle and former partner in crime despite being locked away in a jail cell in Greece. Now, desperate to keep Sonny from paying for a crime they don’t believe he committed, John and Paul will continue to interrogate the man they believe is responsible on the Monday, July 24 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Sonny (Freddie Smith) is currently sitting locked away in a jail cell as the most likely culprit for Deimos’ (Vincent Irizarry) murder at the Marton House party. Following both his confessing that he believes he committed the crime, and a caterer claiming it was him on the NBC soap, the case has seemed fairly airtight against him. His boyfriend, Paul (Christopher Sean) however, refuses to believe he did something so awful, and with his father, John (Drake Hogestyn), went to follow up on the only lead that points elsewhere.

While investigating the scene of the crime, Lani (Sal Stowers) had found a key card for a room at the Salem Inn, where the only evidence of someone’s presence had been a pornographic magazine, one that Xander (Paul Telfer) has been known to favor. No prints were lifted off of it to prove he was there, but the hope he was guilty of the crime has led Paul and John to Greece to see if they can figure the mystery out.

The biggest problem with the theory that Xander committed the crime is that he was taken in by Greek authorities while working with Deimos to keep Nicole (Arianne Zucker) hostage. He has since allegedly been sitting in his own jail cell, thousands of miles away from Salem, which makes it seem impossible for him to have committed the murder. However, he managed to escape prison once before, which was how he was able to help Deimos with his plot in the first place. And that has been enough to convince John and Paul he was somehow involved.

Now, after seeing footage which seems to indicate that Xander never left his cell in Greece and couldn’t possibly have done it, they have met with him again as well. The answers they seek however are also ones that may stun them however, as Xander may hint that another member of the Kiriakis family is responsible for the death instead—none other than Victor (John Aniston).

Paul and John will wonder if Xander is bluffing or if he is actually serious about Victor possibly helping him pull something like this off, because it wouldn’t be outside the realm of possibility. However, as they try to figure out just what Xander means, and if he’s just providing them with something that keeps them from the actual truth, they will be fighting against the clock. The longer it takes to figure out the truth about Deimos’ murder, the longer it will also be that Sonny sits in jail and get closer to a potential trial that could send him away for a long time, even if he is an innocent man.
