Is ‘Days Of Our Lives’ On Today?
Fans of “Days of Our Lives” will have to take a day off from the Salem drama on Monday, Sept. 3, as the NBC programming schedule has been altered due to coverage of PGA Tour Golf.
According to the network’s programming schedule for the day, there have been alterations to the lineup of shows to accommodate the coverage of the event, which is set to take place throughout the course of the afternoon.
Unaffected by the coverage are “Today,” and various programming that runs in the usual 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. markets. In New York, that will include “News 4 NY at 11 a.m.,” and “New York Live,” at 11:30 a.m. EDT. Other markets may vary in coverage at the 12 p.m. timeslot depending on the normal schedule.
In New York, the changes in coverage begin at 12 p.m., when “Days” usually airs. Instead, NBC will be airing the “2018 NBC Primetime Preview” during that slot, which will feature Andy Samberg and the stars of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine" as they preview the network’s new and returning fall comedies and dramas. 12:30 p.m. will see a repeat of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” which featured Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough, Ne-Yo, Jenna Dewan and “World of Dance’s” BDash and Konkrete.
The PGA coverage will begin at 1:30 p.m. and air until 6 p.m. when coverage is slated to return to regularly scheduled programming.
The changes in programming mean that fans of “Days of Our Lives” will have to wait until Tuesday, Sept. 4 to see how the intense storylines continue to play out on the soap.
During the most recent week of episodes, the havoc wreaked on Salem from Kristen’s (Stacy Haiduk) return to the soap. Since her return, Marlena (Deidre Hall) has been left fighting for her life after she was shot by Sami (Alison Sweeney). Meanwhile, Kristen attempted to seduce Brady (Eric Martsolf), and when he rejected her, she threatened to kill Sami. Following that, Paul (Christopher Sean) tried to disarm her, and the two crashed out a window. Their fates are now unknown.
“Days of Our Lives” will resume on NBC with new episodes on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
