“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” is leaving the air after tonight’s Season 4 finale, but the CW series will definitely be coming back.

The network renewed the show for Season 5 back in January, which is also when it renewed nine other programs, including “Riverdale” and “Supernatural.” Since then, there have been no shows canceled on The CW, with all of them earning renewals.

With everything coming back, plus new shows on the way, the network had to switch some things around on the fall schedule.

A premiere date has not yet been set for “Legends of Tomorrow” Season 5, but The CW has revealed that the show won’t begin at the start of the fall 2019 season. Instead, it’ll release at midseason, which means it’ll begin airing in early 2020.

This time around, though, the show will be part of the upcoming five-part Arrowverse crossover. Three shows will air their episodes in December, while two shows — including “Legends” — will air theirs in early 2020.

As there’s a good chance the network won’t want to force viewers to wait months for the conclusion to the crossover, it’s likely “Legends” will return, at least with this one episode, in January.

Until then, the Season 4 finale (episode 16), titled “Hey, World!,” airs tonight.

“While on a mission to find Ray (Brandon Routh), Constantine (Matt Ryan) and Nora (Courtney Ford) discover Neron’s evil plan,” the synopsis shares. “Nate (Nick Zano) convinces the Legends to think outside the box and suggests a dangerous plan to unite magical creatures and people to save the world.”

The cast of the CW series also includes Caity Lotz (Sara Lance), Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory), Maisie Richardson-Sellers (Charlie), Tala Ashe (Zari Adrianna Tomazi), Jes Macallan (Ava Sharpe) and Ramona Young (Mona Wu).

Kevin Mock directed the episode from a script by Phil Klemmer and Keto Shimizu.

The Season 4 finale of “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” airs on The CW on Monday at 8 p.m. EDT.
