Deion Sanders estranged wife, Pilar Sanders, was arrested on Monday night on charges of domestic violence against her husband, CNN reported. This news followed a series of tweets from Sander's verified Twitter account posted Monday evening suggesting that he would be pressing charges against his wife.

Pilar Sanders was behind bars on Monday night for the misdemeanor of assault family violence, according to the Collin County Jail booking records. Her bond was set a $264.

Leading up to the arrest, Deion Sanders 'live tweeted' his decision to file charges of domestic abuse against Pilar, posting a series of messages to Twitter in order to update his fans and create a written record of what happened.

Pray for me and my kids now! Sanders tweeted on Monday night. They just witnessed their mother and a friend jump me in my room. She's going to jail n I'm pressing charges!

Another message posted by Deion Sanders on Twitter last night included an photograph of what appears to be Sanders and his children filing out the paperwork to press charges along with the words filling out police reports now.

A third tweet from Sanders claimed, I'm sad my boys witnessed this mess but I warned the police department here that she was gone try n harm me and my boys. This is on my mama!

Although Deion and Pilar Sanders are currently going through an unpleasant divorce, they were still sharing their suburban Dallas home.

Deion Sanders played on a number of different teams including the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Falcons, and was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame. He is currently employed by the NFL network as an analyst.

According to CNN, both the NFL Network and Sanders' business manager Constance Schwartz declined to comment on Pilar Sanders' arrest or the Deion's accusations of domestic abuse, but Deion Sanders' himself has not shied away from the press.

My kids, they are scared for their life, he told KXAS, a Dallas TV station, on Monday night. They just saw two women jump their dad in his own house, in his room, in my room. It's sad.

I got locks on my doors right now, he continued. Is somebody going to have to die? Is it going to be me before the court does something and get this woman out of my house? It's absurd.

Deion and Pilar Sanders have three children together, and Sanders has another three from a previous relationship. After marrying in 1999, the couple starred in a reality show titled Deion & Pilar Prime Time Love.

Eventually, however, their marriage began to fail and the couple began the bitter process of divorce. In February, Pilar Sanders filed a lawsuit against but her husband and his aunt, Laura Jones, claiming that she was attacked by Jones in their Prosper, Texas home while Deion Sanders watched. At the time, Sanders refuted the claim on Twitter, arguing that his wife was the aggressor and his aunt was merely visint to fix the telephone.

Pilar Sanders filled a second lawsuit against Deion and his daughter Deiondra, after she called her step-mom a gold digger on Twitter. In the suit, Pilar demanded $200 million for damages from libel and slander, claiming that Deion Sanders had endorsed his daughter's statements.
