Dell, Wal-Mart, Home Depot: Earnings Reports To Watch, Nov 12-16
The earnings calendar for the week ahead will be comparatively light, but we will still be hearing from a number of household names.
Of the 440 companies in the S&P 500 that have reported third-quarter earnings so far, 63.4 percent have topped analysts' expectations, slightly above the 62 percent average since 1994, and the 67 percent beat rate over the past four quarters, according to data compiled by Thomson Reuters.
But revenue results, which are harder to game than earnings, remain disappointing. Only 37.6 percent of companies exceeded revenue estimates -- well below the 62 percent average since 2002, and the 55 percent beat rate over the past four quarters.
We ran a screen and produced a list of 33 key companies set to report their earnings between Nov. 12 and Nov. 16. We have highlighted their expected reporting dates and times, along with analysts' earnings-per-share and Reuters revenue estimates, as well as the stocks' year-to-date performances.
