"Demon Slayer" Season 2 is one of the highly anticipated anime releases this year, following the franchise's successful run at the worldwide box office. While it is not yet confirmed that the anime would premiere its second season in October, it appears the franchise's schedule this month leads to the supposed release date announcement of the anime.
The official website of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" anime announced five special compilations of the hit first season of the anime with new footage Monday. It also revealed the special compilations' airing schedule on Fuji TV, which will kick off with The Sibling's Bond Arc on Sept. 11.
It will be followed by the Asakusa Arc on Sept. 12, Suzumi Mansion Arc on Sept. 18, Mt. Natagumo Arc on Sept. 19 and The Hashira Meeting/Butterfly Mansion Arc on Sept. 23. Both the Asakusa Arc and Tsuzumi Mansion Arc specials will showcase new key visuals, end credit scenes, eyecatchers and episode previews.
Meanwhile, The Sibling's Bond, Mt. Natagumo Arc and The Hashira Meeting/Butterfly Mansion Arc specials will showcase a trailer for a new Ufotable project. The broadcast of these anime specials will reportedly lead to the TV premiere of the phenomenal box office movie, "Demon Slayer-Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train," which is scheduled for Sept. 25.
It can be recalled that a Twitter user who goes by the name DemonSlayerSc already revealed the TV premiere of "Demon Slayer: Mugen Train" back in July. Aside from releasing new details, the tipster also said the "Demon Slayer" Season 2 release date announcement could happen on Sept. 25.
Many sites reported in February that the second season of the much-awaited anime might premiere in October. Unfortunately, this window is not official as Ufotable has not yet revealed the specific launch date of the anime. What the Japanese animation company has confirmed so far is the anime's second season is coming this year.
"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" Season 1 premiered in April 2019. The anime series, which is an adaptation of the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge, also streams on Hulu, Crunchyroll, Funimation and Netflix.
