Popular gaming YouTuber Desmond “Etika” Amofah was detained by Brooklyn Police on Monday after he went on an anti-Semitic rant, which was viewed by his nearly 300,000 followers on Twitter. Amofah live streamed his altercation on Instagram with authorities who arrived at his home.

“They knocked the peephole out. You’re being ridiculous, look at how many cars there are,” Amofah said as a police officer asked him to open the door. The YouTuber refused to open the door to the law enforcement officials, and after a 30-minute standoff, the police broke into his home and handcuffed him. Nearly 20,000 people were watching this on Instagram Live.

Earlier Monday, Amofah took to his Twitter account to share a series of cryptic and anti-semitic messages. In one post, Amofah called himself god, saying “he fears nothing.” In another post, he shared a photoshopped image of him holding up a gun. In one of the posts, Amofah wrote “F--- the Jews.” The tweet was since deleted, but screenshots of the post surfaced online.

Other than the photo of the gun, Amofah also posted another tweet referencing nuclear weapons.

“I am inevitable. I always was. You all wasted far too much time building the nukes that I will extinguish life with,” he wrote. He also wrote messages like, “It’s too late to stop me. I can’t be deleted now. My roar now echoes in the hearts of man,” and, “You tiny brained mortals always DID fear what you couldn’t comprehend. That’s why you all died in Bird Box, when you looked at me.”

This is not the first time Amofah has raised concerns with his behavior on social media. On April 16, he made several comments on Twitter about killing himself, and his fans got worried about his safety. However, the suicide threats were not the first for him as the streamer was previously banned on YouTube and Twitch for the same action.

In his most alarming tweet on April 16, he wrote, “I am about to shoot myself in the forehead, with a pistol I purchased from a gun shop in long island. Bury me in [Brooklyn].”

Meanwhile, hours after being detained by the New York Police Department on Monday, Amofah returned to Twitter.

"I am the Devil," he wrote in one tweet, while the other read: "I am inevitable." He also shared a photo of a hospital summary dated Monday, which showed his chief complaint as a psychiatric problem.
