'Destiny 2' Guide: Super Sniper Revision Zero Build For All Classes
KEY POINTS
- Revision Zero's exotic perk synergizes with the Whisper of Rending fragment
- The Rending buff stacks with other damage-boosting effects
- Players should build toward improving energy regeneration for reliable freezing
The Revision Zero Pulse Rifle is a nifty addition to "Destiny 2's" arsenal, but there's more to it than just its modularity and its fancy form-switching feature.
There's one particular interaction between this gun and a certain subclass fragment that makes it a potent tool against most tough enemies in PvE. The best part? All classes can use it.
How the build works
Revision Zero's intrinsic Hunter's Trace perk lets users toggle between its normal form and a hard-hitting sniper mode that hits very hard for a primary weapon. Guardians can load up to four of these sniper rounds in their guns by constantly hitting Precision Hits against combatants.
There are several ways to stack damage on top of these shots. The first one is the Whisper of Rending fragment that's available on all Stasis subclasses. It buffs primary ammo weapons by increasing the damage they deal against Stasis crystals and Frozen targets.
Whisper of Rending's buff applies to Revision Zero's high-damage shots because the gun still counts as a primary ammo weapon. This makes the gun the first pseudo-sniper rifle in the game that can take advantage of this interaction.
Freeze a target first with abilities or a Chill Clip weapon, then unload with Hunter's Trace shots. This will not work on targets that cannot be frozen.
Armor Mods and Class Setups
This build heavily relies on effects that can freeze priority targets like Elites and Champions, so players should try to build around getting Duskfield Grenade and melee abilities back as quickly as possible.
Mods like Impact Induction, Grenade Kickstart and Momentum Transfer are great for feeding energy back into abilities, especially when paired with an Elemental Well setup. The respective Harvest aspects from each of the classes also contribute to the combat loop.
Any exotic that affects Stasis grenades or ability regeneration should be equipped. Warlocks can opt for Coldsnap Grenades if they have Osmiomancy Gloves on, and Hunters can use Renewal Grasps for stronger Duskfields.
Titans can use either a hybrid Stasis crystal setup with Hoarfrost-Z or go all-in with Duskfield Grenades using Heart of Inmost Light. Keep in mind that Diamond Lance can also be used to freeze targets in lieu of grenades.
To maximize DPS, use this build in combination with High-Energy Fire and Season 19's Weakened Clear mod alongside any other buffs teammates might bring with them.
