Destiny 2 Veist Armor
Three sets of Veist-themed armor for Destiny 2 Bungie

KEY POINTS

  • Void Hunters with Gyrfalcon's Hauberk have the best solo potential in the game
  • Solar subclasses are also great for soloing activities
  • The Solo Operative mod grants a damage bonus whenever players are alone in a fireteam

There are a ton of ways to play "Destiny 2," and completing difficult content like dungeons and Master lost sectors alone are some of the most gratifying things Guardians can achieve in the game.

Neither of these will be easy considering how most activities are designed for three or more players. However, the 3.0 subclasses and Season 19's new artifact and balance changes have made soloing hard content much easier. Here are a few loadout and setup suggestions for doing so.

Recommended Class

Void Hunter with the reworked Gyrfalcon's Hauberk is easily the most powerful solo class setup in "Destiny 2" at the moment thanks to its infinite invisibility and Volatile Rounds feedback loop. When armed with the right mods and weapons, Nightstalkers can take on anything.

Solar subclasses that focus on Radiant and Restoration can easily serve as alternate picks. Loreley Sunbreakers, Phoenix Protocol Dawnblade and Assassin's Cowl Gunslingers can blaze through most content with ease as long as they can keep their healing effects up.

Season 19 Mods and Weapons

The artifact in "Season of the Seraph" features two incredibly potent mods: Weakened Clear and Solo Operative. The former makes Grenade Launcher hits apply the Weaken debuff to bosses and elites while also reloading other stowed weapons. Meanwhile, the latter grants a 15% bonus to all damage dealt when the player is alone.

Weakened Clear is particularly effective with Witherhoard since the mod can activate off of the DoT effect from the weapon. Alternatively, players can use any other Kinetic GL that has Auto-Loading Holster.

The primary weapon of choice depends on which class players are using. Here are some options to consider:

  • Veles X (Void)
  • Funnelweb (Void)
  • Collective Obligation (Void)
  • The Unforgiven (Void)
  • CALUS Mini-Tool (Solar)
  • Ammit AR2 (Solar)

For heavy weapons, Linear Fusion Rifles are great when partnered with Weakened Clear GLs. Sleeper Simulant is a great Solar option for players who don't have a Cataclysmic. Meanwhile, Void Hunters can use the Taipan-4LR.

Keep in mind that these recommendations are meant for normal dungeons. Loadouts will vary depending on whether or not Champions are involved.

As for armor mods, Elemental Well mods like Font of Might, Melee Wellmaker and Elemental Ordnance are necessary for boosting damage. Players can commit to stacking as many of these mods as they can for added bonuses, or they can mix in some Charged With Light mods for improved Super cooldowns and other benefits tied to subclass fragments.
