'Destiny 2' Walkthrough: How To Get Revision Zero Exotic Pulse Rifle
KEY POINTS
- Revision Zero's exotic quest is tied to Season 19's storyline
- The mission features mechanics from the Deep Stone Crypt raid
- The exotic quest is much easier compared to the ones from previous seasons
The second exotic weapon of "Destiny 2: Season of the Seraph" has debuted together with a unique mission that's both interesting and eerily familiar.
Revision Zero is the latest addition to the list of exotic Kinetic Pulse Rifles in "Destiny 2," and it offers a high degree of versatility when it comes to mid-long-ranged exchanges. It's a must-have for fans of the weapon type in both PvE and PvP modes.
Thankfully, getting Revision Zero is much easier and more straightforward compared to some of the other exotic quests tied to previous seasons. Here's a quick walkthrough that covers most of the confusing steps involved in getting this gun.
Step 1: Complete a Heist
The first thing players need to do is complete a mission in the Heist Battlegrounds playlist. This can be on any of the three available maps, although players may need to finish the first two seasonal quest missions before they can attempt the Revision Zero quest.
After finishing any quest, talk to the Exo Frame at the HELM and select the exotic quest on the map screen.
Step 2: Complete the Seraph Station Mission
Operation: Seraph Station will have players push through two BrayTech facilities—one on Earth and another on a station orbiting the planet. After breaching the snow-covered Seraph base for the third time this season, Guardians will find themselves in a situation that's very similar to the Deep Stone Crypt raid.
The exotic quest involves the Scanner and Operator mechanic as well as a trip to space. The mission itself is fairly linear, and it'll be hard to get lost in the winding corridors of the Seraph Station.
Fallen and Hive commanded by Xivu Arath will be on the station, and the player's job is to upload a virus into one of the main terminals. Guardians can breeze through the combat encounters here if they're at least 1,580 Light.
Seraph Station does have numerous puzzles that involve the Scanner and Operator buffs. The former highlights interactable terminals while the latter lets players shoot panels that glow red.
During the first few rooms, players will have to crawl through vents in order to hack terminals with Scanner. Eventually, they'll reach a locked room blocked by a barrier that removes the buff. Inside this room, head to the upper level and hack the third terminal on the right. Hacking anything else will lead to death by laser trap.
Players can know which terminal to hack by equipping the Scanner buff and looking at the row of computers in the outside room. The correct one will glow yellow.
Microwave Room Puzzle
About halfway through the quest, players will encounter a large chamber that will cook them alive. To get past it, grab the Scanner buff from the Vandal in the main room and take a look at the big windows on the first and second floors.
The upper floor's window will show the terminals players need to deactivate while inside the microwave room. Meanwhile, the lower floor's windows will show a path that must be followed in order to not trigger the heat trap.
Entering the room will clear the Scanner buff, so try to remember the proper route or take a picture of it before heading in. Afterward, hack the correct terminals and proceed with the rest of the mission.
Seraph Station – Second Half
It should be smooth sailing from here on out. Follow the linear path, and eventually, the game will introduce the Suppressor buff, which is tied to the shield mechanic of the final boss.
Once the buff is active, stand below the floating drones and shoot whichever enemy glows blue until the drone changes color. Then, when the drones are all primed, go to wherever they point and destroy the shield generator that appears.
Boss Fight – Praksis the Defiled
The final boss of the Seraph Station mission is Praksis, one of Eramis' lieutenants from the "Beyond Light" campaign that's been reincarnated as a Scorn captain.
The fight involves the Suppressor mechanic and a ton of Fallen and Scorn. Burn down Praksis' health normally until his shields go up, and then take out the three shield generators using the Suppressor buff. Rinse and repeat until the boss is dead.
Finally, upload the virus to claim the Revision Zero exotic Pulse Rifle.
Players will be asked to craft another copy of the gun after finishing the quest. To do this, level up the one that dropped as a reward to unlock the Pattern for it. Then, go to the Enclave and craft it like any other gun.
Keep in mind that the gun's upgrades are all still locked as of the day of its release. They will become available once Bungie returns from its Christmas break.
