‘Devious Maids’ Season 3 Spoilers: Dania Ramirez Teases Deadly Premiere, Reveals 'More Than One' Character Will Get Shot
The new season of “Devious Maids” will air next month. And according to reports, things are about to get pretty messy when the Lifetime series returns to the small screen. So, grab a dustpan because our favorite Beverly Hills housemaids are about to sweep a whole lot of drama into our lives.
Dania Ramirez, who plays Rosie on the dramedy, teased what fans of the Marc Cherry-created series can anticipate when Season 3 of “Devious Maids” airs on Monday, June 1.
“I’ll tell you this,” she divulged during an interview on “Good Day LA” on Tuesday, “there’s more than one [person who gets] shot.” Ramirez was referring to the jaw-dropping cliffhanger that occurred in the Season 2 finale. “At the end of last season, I was about to walk down the isle to marry Mr. Spence (Grant Show),” she said. “And at the end of the wedding there’s this kid Ty (Gideon Glick) [who] goes to try an shoot Valentina (Edy Ganem). He ends up shooting a bunch of people. Some people get hit, some people get injured.”
Although Ramirez wouldn’t spill which character(s) will become target practice in Season 3 of “Devious Maids,” she did reveal that audiences should expect to “lose some” and “win some.”
“We also have a new maid this season played by Naya Rivera From ‘Glee,’” the actress said, explaining that with the potential death of a character comes the debut of a new one. “It’s fantastic! She’s going to be working for a new family who seems to be picture perfect -- a family that was from Season 1. They have now adopted a Latina little girl.”
But Ramirez hinted that nothing is ever picture perfect on “Devious Maids.” “Our bosses are filthy and the maids are cleaning up!” she quipped.
Despite all the cutthroat drama set to occur, Ramirez stated that Season 3 of the hit drama will focus on the friendships of Marisol (Ana), Rosie, Carmen (Roselyn Sanchez) and Zoila Diaz (Judy Reyes).
“This season more than any other season is about the friendships, love and really being there for one another,” the former “Heroes” star said. “And what’s cool about this season is [that we] get to play detectives!”
According to a promo video for the new season, a murder will take place in Season 3 of “Devious Maids” that will shake Beverly Hills to its core. Perhaps Rosie and her gang will trade in their cleaning gloves for a microscope when the new installment airs as they try to determine who the killer is.
