‘Devious Maids’ Season 4 Spoilers: Susan Lucci Shares ‘Emotional’ Behind-The-Scenes Photo On Instagram
Better stock up on tissues, “Devious Maids,” fans, because Susan Lucci, who stars as Genevieve Delatour in the Lifetime series, revealed that Season 4 of the drama drenched soap will leave viewers teary eyed.
In an Instagram post, the actress divulged just how emotional the upcoming installment will be when she shared a set image with her followers.
“Getting notes after emotional scene from wonderful direction, Elodie Keene!” Lucci captioned the behind-the-scene photo of her wiping away tears. “So many twists and turns in Devious Season 4!!! Such great writing/great directing/great company of actors/great crew/great production values!!!!”
Lucci continued by saying that she can’t wait for fans to tune into the show’s June 6 premiere, titled “One More Unto the Bleach.”
Although the return of “Devious Maids” is only a few weeks away, audiences will have to wait just a little bit longer to witness the scene that made Lucci reach for the Kleenex. According to Curtis Kheel, writer and executive producer of the Marc Cherry series, Keene will direct two episodes during the fourth installment — episode 7, “Blood, Sweat and Smears,” and episode 8, “I Saw the Shine.” That means fans should brace themselves for a Genevieve-centric storyline in those particular episodes.
Perhaps Lucci’s break down may have something to do with her character’s potential love interest. TVLine revealed that a Beverly Hills newcomer, named Lori, will meet an “attractive woman” in therapy. And considering Genevieve is no strange to a psychologist’s office, it’s been theorized she’ll be the one to catch Lori’s attention.
The women will bond over their breakups — and glasses of bubbly — before deciding to go out on a date with each other. And we wouldn’t put it past Genevieve to date someone exactly like herself, would you?
“Devious Maids” will return Monday, June 6, at 9 p.m. EDT on Lifetime.
