The Powerball drawing on Wednesday night did not result in a grand prize winner for the estimated $158 million jackpot with a cash value of $107.7 million. However, there were plenty of other players that managed to win smaller prizes.

The winning lottery numbers drawn on Wednesday, Feb. 9, were 2, 17, 33, 51, 63, with a red Powerball pull of 26. The PowerPlay was 2X.

The next Powerball drawing will take place on Saturday night. The jackpot has now climbed to an estimated $172 million with a $117.3 million cash option.

Although there were no grand prize winners in the recent drawing, one player was able to become an instant millionaire. A player from North Carolina hit the Match 5, winning $1 million.

If a ticketholder would have hit the Match 5 with a Power Play purchase, they would have won $2 million.

There were 12 players who hit the Match 4 plus red Powerball and won $50,000 each. Meanwhile, only two players hit the Match 4 plus red Powerball with a 2X Power Play, winning $100,000. The other monetary wins from the latest lottery drawing ranged between $4 and $200.

The latest drawing comes after a player in California hit the Match 5 earlier this week, winning a second-place prize. The ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven in the South Bay area, an NBC affiliate in the Bay Area reported.

The Powerball costs $2 per play. Jackpot winners must match the six numbers on their ticket to the drawn six-number combination. Five numbers are selected from 1 to 69 for the white balls, and a number is selected from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball.
