Did Jennifer Aniston Get 'The Rachel' Haircut? Actress Chops Long Locks After Hair Disaster

Jennifer Aniston may always be as well known for her hair as for her acting, after debuting “The Rachel” cut on “Friends” years ago. Over the years, she has shown off a number of different styles, and has once again changed her hair.

The 44-year-old actress, who as of late has been sporting longer locks, recently chopped inches off her hair. While it is not “The Rachel,” the new look is around the same length as her famous old hairstyle. Aniston spoke to Elle U.K. about the new look, which was actually prompted by hair catastrophe. "It wasn't for a role. My hair went through a phase — I did this thing called a Brazilian and my hair did not react really well to it. It's about two inches above my shoulders now.

"The minute I cut my hair I want it back. Always. It's a guarantee. I'm trying really hard to love this one," she said.

Aniston may not be thrilled about her new look, but she certainly is not the only celebrity to change their mind after a big chop.

In August, Beyonce showed off a drastic new look via Instagram, chopping off her long hair into a daringly short 'do. The change came a couple of weeks after Beyonce got her hair stuck in an electric fan during a concert in Montreal.

Her hair stylist, Rita Hazan, said at the time, "Her hair was long and went down her back. She'd been thinking about it for a while and she wanted to go for it and cut it. It was a moment that she had."

Beyonce quickly grew tired of her controversial short hairdo, however, sporting a longer blonde look days later, which she has maintained as she continues her “Mrs. Carter” world tour.
