Did Prince Harry Just Hint At Prince William Being His Best Man?
Prince Harry may have just hinted on Prince William’s important role during his May 19 wedding to Meghan Markle.
During his trip to Edinburgh, one fan asked Prince Harry what he will be doing for his stag party. The 33-year-old prince said that he’s sure his older brother is already planning something. Organizing the groom’s stag party is typically done by his best man.
Last month, Prince William revealed that his brother has not asked him to be his best man yet. While speaking with U.K. radio host Roman Kemp (via People), Prince William said that his role at Prince Harry and Markle’s wedding is a sensitive subject. After all, the couple’s wedding will take place on the same day as the F.A. Cup Finals.
When asked if he will miss the F.A. Cup so he could be at Prince Harry’s wedding, Prince William said that he’s still trying to see what he can do.
Meanwhile, it seems that Prince William will most certainly be Prince Harry’s best man. The latter was also the best man at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s 2011 wedding. But in the event that Prince William won’t be chosen by Prince Harry, Markle’s fiancé has a lot of guy friends to select from.
Prince William and Middleton’s two kids are also expected to have important roles at Prince Harry and Markle’s wedding. Markle’s best friend Jessica Mulroney’s daughter, Ivy, will also be part of the couple’s entourage, according to US Weekly.
Following Markle and Prince Harry’s engagement announcement, Prince William and Middleton were the first two to congratulate the couple publicly. “We’re very excited and delighted for them both and wishing them all the happiness in this very exciting time. And for me personally, I hope it means he stays out of my fridge and will stop scrounging my food, which he’s done for the last few years!” Prince William said.
Prince Harry and Markle’s wedding will take place at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Reception will follow at St. George’s Hall.
