Did Queen Elizabeth Ever Pull Prince Charles, Princess Anne’s Ears During Fights?
Queen Elizabeth raised Prince Charles and Princess Anne quite differently from Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.
After Her Majesty’s two eldest children were born, she had a very busy schedule and was forced to leave them with their nanny while she’s in another country with Prince Philip.
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh waited for 10 years before having another child. When Princess Anne was already 10 years ago, Prince Andrew was born. At this time, Prince Charles was already a teenager and he helped look after his younger siblings.
On the online forum site Quora, royal fans are wondering if the Queen ever chastised her children in public. Michiel Korte, who is knowledgeable about the royal family, said that it’s quite hard to say if the monarch chastised her children in public because she rarely brought them with her on her royal engagements.
“But there are stories of the Queen pulling Charles and Anne’s ears when they were having a fight at the Queen’s secretary’s house. And the Queen once chastised her granddaughter Zara on the royal ship,” he said.
Stephen West, a left-wing royalist, said that the Queen chastised Prince Charles in public even when he was already much older. A photo of Her Majesty pointing a finger at her eldest child while standing outside the balcony of the Buckingham Palace was also uploaded by the royal fan.
But West also said that the Queen is too professional that she wouldn’t let the media see her chastising her children or any other member of the royal family at that. The royal fan also noted the fact that the royal children are usually well behaved when they’re out in public and with the monarch.
Other royal fans said that it’s not a big deal if the Queen would chastise her children because most parents usually do the same thing to their kids both in public or in private.
