Taylor Swift has been reportedly dating Conor Kennedy since the summer, but for the first time she is commenting on their relationship after Entertainment Tonight alleged that she had “kidnapped" him.

The country music star was said to have flown Kennedy to Nashville and essentially abducted him, but Swift explained that’s impossible because he’s a grown man.

"You can't kidnap a grown man," Swift responded to the claim to the Huffington Post. "These are serious accusations, now! It's an interesting way to spin something into a story. See, this is why I don't read this stuff."

Swift, 22, and Kennedy, 18, have been photographed holding hands and kissing numerous times since the summer near Kennedy’s family home in Hyannis Port, Mass., just a few months after his mother, Mary, committed suicide.

While Swift was dispelling the rumors, she also opened up at “crashing” Kennedy’s cousin’s wedding over the summer when she spoke to Rolling Stone.

Reports said that the country crooner was asked to leave by the bride’s mother, Victoria Gifford Kennedy, after the singer “angered” the family. Swift attended the wedding without notice and distracted attention from the newlyweds, the Boston Herald wrote.

"I have no idea what happened there," Swift told the magazine shortly after the wedding had taken place. "I think that story was based on the biggest misunderstanding, 'cause I would never knowingly show up somewhere that I thought I wasn't invited to. And I would never want to upstage anybody."

The “Love Story” singer began to hint about love within her assumed relationship with Kennedy.

"The way I look at love is you have to follow it, and fall hard, if you fall hard,” she explained. The singer could have been referring to her four-year age difference from Kennedy since she has been criticized because for it in the tabloids.

"You have to forget about what everyone else thinks," continued the pop star. "It has to be us-against-the-world mentality. You have to make it work by prioritizing it, and by falling in love really fast, without thinking too hard. If I think too hard about a relationship I'll talk myself out of it … I have rules for a lot of area of my life. Love is not going to be one of them," she told the magazine.

Swift is on the October cover for Rolling Stone and her new album “Red” is expected to drop on Oct. 22.
