Diddy-Drake Feud Update: Funkmaster Flex Slams JLo, Gets Roasted By Twitter
Funkmaster Flex set Twitter ablaze when he called out Drake for apparently hooking up with Jennifer Lopez, who dated Sean “Diddy” Combs in 1999. Not only did he diss the Canadian rapper, he simultaneously slammed the “Booty” singer. People on the internet didn’t take kindly to Flex’s comments, unleashing insults of their own.
“JLo is nice.. but my mans hit 17yrs ago.. these new sensitive n---- think we sweat p---- like them.. nah,” he wrote Wednesday. “JLo? That's the get back for a punch in the face? Took me all day to figure this out!” He added: “Throwback p---- don't never disrupt getting that bread! Facts! [ Canada Dry ]”
When people started to lash out at Flex, he didn’t back down. “Haaaaa!! Here come the Weirdos and Super Stanley's because I got an opinion!!!!!” he wrote to his 793,000 followers Wednesday. “Haaaa!!! Weirdos don't be mad cause I got an opinion! !!!!!”
Flex continued to laugh at critics the following day, especially after his name became a top-trending Twitter topic Thursday with more than 4,000 mentions. “Haaaa! No such thing as a hater... u have an opinion and I have an opinion... Weirdos don't like mine!” he tweeted. “Haaaa! Artist love to talk shit... most Dj's are afraid to comment...”
JLo, 47, and Drake, 30, caused a commotion when they both posted a picture of themselves to Instagram. They both looked into the camera and cuddled each other. Neither posted a picture for the image. By Thursday, Drake’s post garnered more than 1.8 million likes from his 31.4 million followers.
Drake and Diddy apparently got into a fight back in December 2014. Though neither admitted to the brawl, Diddy reportedly hit drake. The two rappers were fighting over Drake’s song, “0 to 100,” which Diddy later admitted. He shot down rumors that they were fighting over Diddy’s then-girlfriend Cassie, like some rumors claimed.
In fact, Diddy didn’t say anything about Drake and JLo apparently dating. It was Twitter users who recalled the old fight.
