A disturbing video that has gone viral on the internet shows a small snake stuck inside a woman's ear and refusing to come out even as a doctor repeatedly tries to pull it out with the help of a pair of tweezers.

The internet was stunned to see the video in which the reptile can be seen peeking its small hood out, sometimes moving it from side to side in a show of defiance as the tweezers poke its mouth open. The clip then shows the doctor using varying tools to recover the snake. The video stops all of a sudden, leaving viewers curious.

Captioned "The snake went inside the ear," the video was posted on Facebook by a user called Chandan Singh earlier this month. However, its credibility has been a point of debate, with many netizens speculating that it's fake and that it was uploaded only for the sake of views.

"100% false, posted on just for the view," a commenter wrote.

Another said, "How snake turned it's [sic] mouth back on the exit side of the ear?"

Meanwhile, many others tried to understand how a snake could end up in a woman's ear. Some netizens, on the other hand, were simply shocked to see the ordeal of the woman and expressed their concern over her in the comments section. There were also those who urged the uploader to share the complete video, eager to find out if the doctor was able to pull the snake out of the woman's ear.

And as the discussion carried on, the video clocked in 87,000 views and about 100 likes, according to Economic Times.

Due to their ability to pass through small openings, snakes can exist in small places and can even creep into the most unusual places imaginable.

In 2021, a deadly viper ended up traveling 4,000 miles from Pakistan to England in a container of bricks. Besides surviving the long journey, the snake also managed to live in the container for a month, until the vessel was opened and a forklift driver made the shocking discovery. Workers in the warehouse did some research, and they found that it was a saw-scaled viper, which is known to pack a venomous bite despite its size. The firm's logistic manager wore protective clothing and trapped the reptile in a cardboard box before it was turned over to authorities.
