'Doctor Strange 2' Clip Teases New Characters Ahead Of Release [Watch]
The official Twitter handle of "Doctor Strange" dropped a new video Monday, teasing a new character named America Chavez (played by actress Xochitl Gomez) in the upcoming movie, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.”
In the 22 seconds of the video, a massive text is written above various faces, including that of Doctor Strange, Wong, Wanda Maximoff and Chavez, which reads, "This universe is only one of an infinite number."
The clip also features Doctor Strange fighting several characters. In one of the scenes, he can be seen passing by Chavez. "Open the door to a vast Multiverse," the official handle captioned the clip. "Experience Marvel Studios’ #DoctorStrange in the Multiverse of Madness only in theaters May 6."
Interestingly, Chaves is not the only character teased in this video. At one point, fans noticed another Marvel Comic character named Living Tribunal in the background.
One of the fans even took a screenshot of the scene and shared it in the comments section.
Looking at the previous trailers and the new clip, fans can expect many more characters being introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the highly anticipated, "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness."
When the first trailer was dropped, fans got a glimpse of Evil Doctor Strange and supervillain Baron Mordo. Moreover, Doctor Strange's sidekick Wong also teased that the dynamic between Doctor Strange and Wong will change, hinting a new Wong from a another dimension may be introduced.
Even though some fans speculated Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool might appear in this sequel, the actor has denied the rumors. However, fans refuse to believe him and think he might make a surprise appearance.
The first installment of "Doctor Strange" was released in 2016. No individual movie based on this character was released after that. However, the character was seen in other Marvel movies like "Avengers: Infinity War," "Avengers: Endgame" and "Spider-Man: No Way Home."
