Does Miley Cyrus Still Love Liam Hemsworth? Sources Say The Once Estranged Couple Are 'Back On' After Lengthy Split
Could Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth be giving love another shot in 2016? It certainly seems that way. The pair called off their year-long engagement in 2013, but after nearly two years apart the "Wrecking Ball" singer and the Australian actor are fueling rumors that they're back together.
According to reports from E! Online, Cyrus, 23, and Hemsworth, 25, reunited Sunday in his homeland. Sources told the publication the controversial singer has had a change of heart, realizing that she still has feelings for her ex. The former lovers are said to have been together during the holidays, surrounded by Hemsworth's family. Cyrus reportedly felt right at home, as if she had been able to "pick up right where they left off." At present sources say neither she nor Hemsworth are certain about their future, but Cyrus "definitely still loves him." For now, they are thought to be "back on."
"Miley came back to L.A. on Monday after spending the holidays with Liam. She had the time of her life being with him and his family," a source said. "She feels like they could pick up right where they left off. Miley has never gotten over Liam and always hoped they would get back together. She doesn't know where it will go, but she definitely still loves him and wants to be with him. Liam has an interest in being back together too."
As International Business Times previously reported, Cyrus and Hemsworth were seen "cuddling" and "kissing" during her time spent down under. The rumored couple are said to have attended Falls Music Festival in Byron Bay with Chris Hemsworth and other members of Liam's family and friend group. Cyrus and "The Hunger Games" actor spent much of the day on the front lines at the festival, but eventually disappeared backstage to a VIP lounge. Although CNN reported that several photos were taken of Cyrus and her former fiancé during their outing, none showed the heavy PDA they are said to have engaged in.
Prior to her reported attempts to get back with Liam, the People's Choice Award-winner was dating Patrick Schwarzenegger. After five months together they decided to call it quits. No reason was given for their break up, but shortly after the news broke of their split Cyrus was seen spending time with Liam in Los Angeles.
Cyrus and Hemsworth first met in 2010 on the set of "The Last Song." They dated for two years before getting engaged. Neither Cyrus nor Hemsworth have commented on their might-be relationship at this time.
