Dog Chases Students, Viciously Attacks 7-Year-Old Girl Near School, Victim Critically Injured
A seven-year-old girl was critically injured after a dog viciously attacked her while she was heading back home from school. The incident took place in the Ranau district of Malaysia on Friday.
According to reports, the unidentified grade-one student was walking back home with a group of friends when the canine appeared out of nowhere and began chasing the students. The incident took place less than 300 meters from the school and all the students except the victim managed to rush back to the school. The dog then viciously attacked the girl.
Meanwhile, the other students informed the school’s security guard about the attack who immediately rushed to the scene to save the victim. The guard managed to chase away the dog and took the girl back to the school. She was then rushed to a nearby hospital.
Confirming the incident, Mistrine Radin, the Sabah education director, said the girl was rushed to the hospital by a teacher after she was attacked by the dog.
Meanwhile, reports stated that the girl’s father would routinely pick her up from the school, however, on the day of the incident, the girl walked home with friends after he got late. The girl suffered serious injuries, however, it was not known if she was discharged from the hospital.
