In a disturbing case of animal cruelty, a dog was found with a fractured skull, left to die at a garbage dump in Sabah, Malaysia.

Officials with the Shelter of Hope, an animal rescue organization, arrived at the scene after receiving a report of a dog found dumped inside a pink sack at the garbage dump. The informer told the officials that he heard barks from inside the sack and when he got closer, he saw it covered with blood. He, along with other witnesses, cut open the sack and found the dog inside it. The canine was covered in blood and was barely breathing.

Upon arrival, the officials rushed the dog to a nearby animal hospital in a critical condition. They also found a broken wooden stick at the scene. Tests revealed the dog had lost a lot of blood from the injuries and also had a fractured skull. The vets suggested that the canine be put down to avoid further suffering. However, one of the animal rescue officers, named Roslee, was against it as he wanted to give the dog a new lease of life with proper treatment and care.

Following this decision, the dog remained at the hospital and was being closely monitored. Outraged by the abuse, Roslee said, “It’s so irritating when such inhumane, cruel abandonment and violence happens.” Roslee also hoped the abuser is caught at the earliest.

Meanwhile, the officials have asked for public donation to ensure that the dog, named Jimmy by them, gets food treatment. They also asked people who witness such crimes to contact them so action could be taken against such offenders.
