Don Trump Jr. Slams Rep. Schiff Over Impeachment Probe: 'Full Of Schiff'
Donald Trump Jr. took #fartgate to another extreme, slamming Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), chair of the House Intelligence Committee, whose findings will contribute to the impeachment of his father by December.
On Monday, Don Jr. had a field day beating-up on Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), who apparently farted so loudly during a live TV interview on MSNBC everybody could hear it. To Swalwell's embarrassment, Don Jr. tweeted, "Most intelligible thing to come out of Swalwell in years. #fartgate."
Needless to say, #fartgate immediately started trending among conservatives. One of these people tweeted, "When you're full of Schiff, it's bound to happen."
Don Jr. took this comment and is now using it to batter Adam Schiff himself by creating a new hashtag, "#FullOfSchiff." He tweeted Tuesday during the public testimonies by two witnesses: Lt. Col Alexander Vindman, currently Director for European Affairs with the National Security Council (NSC), and Jennifer Williams, an aide to Vice President Mike Pence.
"Schiff has been lying to the American people for three years why would anyone expect that to change now? #FullOfSchiff."
He then followed this tweet with another that said:
"Vindman made it clear that he gave information about President Trump’s phone call with President Zelensky to an unnamed individual. Schiff shut down questioning about the unnamed individual to 'protect the whistleblower.' But neither one knows who the whistleblower is?"
Don Jr.'s latest tirade against Schiff goes way back to when Democrats first announced the impeachment inquiry on September 24 in a statement by House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
Don Jr. tore viciously into Schiff two days later, telling Fox News Schiff is a habitual liar who went unchallenged by the media after making a parody of Trump's phone call with Ukrainian president Volodymor Zelensky.
Don Jr. said if he offered a similar parody before Congress, he'd be imprisoned for perjury and blasted in the media.
"If I lied even a little bit in front of those guys like Adam Schiff has lied to the American people, and in front of Congress the other day, they'd throw me in jail for perjury," he said.
