Donald Trump and Melania Trump's close friend, Karen LeFrak, has rejected claims about the couple going through some marriage troubles since the president took office in January. In an interview with Washington Post, Karen, the wife of developer Richard LeFrak, said that the president and the first lady are very happy together and there had been no rough patch in their love life.

“Mrs. Trump is enjoying her life and new role,” Karen said, when asked how Melania was adjusting to her new role as first lady.

She added: “[She and her husband] are very happy! Their relationship is great. All these rabid rumors about her and their relationship are laughable and fictional.”

Karen also said that the first lady has been taking her time with "carving out an important role to support women and children” and “redecorating their residence in the White House,” where she will move after her son, Barron, completes the school year.

Rumors about some trouble between Donald and Melania Trump surfaced after an unverified Us Weekly report claimed that the Trumps sleep alone in separate beds, refusing to "spend the night together – ever."

The president moved into the White House on Jan. 20, but Melania decided to stay in New York City while Barron finishes the academic year. Even when the couple is seen publicly together, they are not physically close to each other, according to body language experts.

The Us Weekly story, which was published last week, also claimed that the first lady was feeling "miserable" in her new role next to the president. However, her representatives denied the allegations, saying: "It’s unfortunate that you are going to feature unnamed 'sources' that have provided fictional accounts."

Body language experts who have been trying to dissect Melania's every move and facial expressions have noticed her fixed smile whether attending her husband’s address to Congress, greeting the Netanyahus at the White House, or appearing for the Republican fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago while the president remained in Washington.

While Melania has been very reclusive and elusive since taking the role of the first lady, fans may hear more about her activities as she announced Monday the hiring of a communications director, Stephanie Grisham.

On Saturday, Grish­am said in an email that Melania anticipates “a very busy upcoming week in D.C.,” and “will be joining the president soon,” the Post reported. She remains “focused on Barron as he finishes the school year.”
