Donald Trump Rants About Twitter On Christmas Eve, Netizens React: 'Put Down Your Phone'

Donald Trump criticized Twitter on Christmas Eve calling its flagging system "cancel culture at its worst" and several netizens reacted to the POTUS' tweet.

A day before Christmas, the president ranted on the micro-blogging site about its "flags." Trump wasn't happy about Twitter restricting or censoring some tweets on its platform and got candid about it and even mentioned "Communism" in his post. His tweet quickly received mixed responses from Twitter users.

"Twitter is going wild with their flags, trying hard to suppress even the truth. Just shows how dangerous they are, purposely stifling free speech. Very dangerous for our Country. Does Congress know that this is how Communism starts? Cancel Culture at its worst. End Section 230!" Trump tweeted.

The president's post received mixed reactions, with some slamming him for not accepting gracefully that he lost the election to Joe Biden. Others also criticized him for his alleged conspiracy theories and outrageous tweets while some urged him not to complain because they already fired him.

"It's Christmas Eve. put down your phone and spend some time with your family, you whiny ghoul," one commented.

"Twitter should start slapping warnings on his tweets saying 'this delusional psychopath's ramblings are lies, not backed up by any factual data,'" another added.

"His conspiracy theories have to be exhausting to those on the right at this point," a third user wrote.

"We fired you, whether you like it or not. Now quit complaining and sign the COVID relief bill," a different user opined.

"No, Donald Trump has gone WILD with his daily lies & propaganda about the election results. He has been relentless for the past 7 weeks with the non-stop lying & has caused absolute chaos amongst his supporters. It’s appalling that a US president has behaved so abysmally," another wrote.

A different netizen hoped Twitter would suspend Trump from its platform because he allegedly abused its rules. Another user accused the POTUS of trying to overthrow the system by not accepting that Biden won the election.

Meanwhile, many people supported Trump and made fun of the anti-Trumps because of how the POTUS' tweet easily affected them. Also, some defended Trump from those accusing him of overthrowing the system.

"Our leader is not trying to overthrow the system. He is trying to protect it! Stop being a sheep!" one commented on netizen commented.

"Trump did not do anything wrong blame Congress. They want to give money to other countries, special interests, etc. On top of that noncitizens will receive 1,800 dollars each to our 600 dollars each. Did you want him to sign that? Trumper," another wrote.

"Stealing is not winning. I know we live in a country where everyone gets a trophy but not when it comes to an election. Trump won fair and square," another user added.

Meanwhile, the president and Melania have sent their warmest wishes to everyone in their final Christmas message in the White House. They also thanked the frontline workers for everything they’ve done amid the pandemic.
