KEY POINTS
- Ivanka Trump committed a spelling mistake on Twitter on New Year's Day
- The first daughter was lambasted online for her spelling mistake
- Ivanka Trump is not the only member of the Trump family to commit a spelling mistake
Donald Trump’s favorite daughter, Ivanka Trump, was recently lambasted on Twitter for committing a glaring spelling mistake.
On New Year’s Day, the 31-year-old paid tribute to the marines for risking their lives to keep American embassies safe. Ivanka also said that the Trump family’s prayers go out to the United States embassy personnel in Baghdad.
And towards the end of her tweet, Ivanka misspelled the word heroes as “heros.” Immediately after, critics flocked to the first daughter’s Twitter account to poke fun at her.
“Heroes must not be in your portfolio as you can’t even spell the word correctly,” Twitter user @JoanneRN123 said.
“‘Heroes.’ How much did daddy pay for that degree?” Twitter user @SharinStone said.
“Heros. Spelling is not strong in this family,” Twitter user @jolinegkg said.
“Heroes. There’s an ‘e,’” Twitter user @Resister4life said.
“*heroes* you and your daddy need spell check,” Twitter user @Jeanjeancrook said.
“The plural of hero is heroes, not heros. Keep up the great work,” Twitter user @always_persist said.
“Learn how to spell, princess. Heroes, not heros,” Twitter user @marcasnyc19791 said.
Others also accused Ivanka of having empty words.
“Empty words from #TrumpCrimeSyndicate,” Twitter user @BerniesTix said.
“@IvankaTrump is totally clueless,” Twitter user @Chixresist said.
Meanwhile, Ivanka’s father was also mocked on Twitter for throwing shade at Barack Obama.
“I play golf to relax. My company is in great shape. @BarackObama plays golf to escape work while America goes down the drain,” the POTUS tweeted in 2011.
“Donald Trump is playing golf today,” Twitter user @NicoleKenza said.
“Daddy’s playing golf, Princess Grifter,” Twitter user @warbirds71 said.
“If it wasn’t for your crazy pants father this wouldn’t be the news today,” Twitter user @GPower17557147 said.
“That's funny, your father trashes our embassy staff on a regular basis and wants to make the embassies less safe by cutting their budgets, he also demoralizes our military by supporting war criminals in the ranks of the military,” Twitter user @DEEmons said.
Meanwhile, Ivanka isn’t the first member of Trump to ever commit a spelling blunder on Twitter. On New Year’s Day, First Lady Melania Trump was also accused of misspelling the word charities to “charity’s.”
At that time, critics also flocked to social media to correct the FLOTUS.
