Donald Trump's Unexpected Demand Changed Iconic 1990s TV Show
President Donald Trump has continued to stay in the news for years. Most recently, he gained new attention following the State of the Union Address and leading up to the 2020 presidential election. However, a specific demand that he made on an iconic 1990s TV show has created new conversations about the POTUS.
In an interview on "Late Night with Seth Myers," Fran Drescher, the former star of "The Nanny," revealed that the POTUS once appeared on her CBS show and made an interesting request.
“I stood in this scene and I said to the two of them, ‘Oh, all you millionaires are alike,'” she said, adding, "And Peter [Marc Jacobson] — now my gay ex-husband — got a note from his assistant, Donald Trump’s assistant, that said, 'Mr. Trump is not a millionaire. He’s a billionaire, and we’d like you to change the script.'"
However, the actress felt as though using the word "billionaire" would not be authentic to her character. She then asked if she could instead use the term "zillionaire," which got approval from Trump. Additionally, she revealed that her ex-husband somehow knew to hold onto the note from "The Apprentice" star, which he still has framed in his office. Drescher's interview can be seen below.

Aside from the anecdote about the 1990s sitcom, Trump's other TV appearances have also been discussed in recent months. Not only did he face stiff criticism from a "Saturday Night Live" star, but his 2020 Super Bowl ads also faced an unexpected hurdle due to a last-minute strategy change prior to the big game.
