Comedian Jenny McCarthy and New Kids on the Block star Donnie Wahlberg are reportedly dating, according to People and Us Weekly. The supposed couple has been caught tweeting each other and have made things official, according to sources who spoke to the celebrity news sites.

Wahlberg and McCarthy, who People referred to as a “nostalgic 1990s-era dream,” seemed to be flirting with each other when he appeared on the comedian’s self-titled VH1 show in March. The two sucked on red lollipops while they engaged in a provocative conversation.

“Do you talk dirty while you’re having sex?” the 40-year-old asked. “I do,” Wahlberg coyly replied.

“You do -- but some guys do it wrong,” she replied. “Yeah, I don’t do it wrong,” he said, with McCarthy looking taken back.

A source told Us Weekly the two have been having a good time since they made things official. “They recently started dating and are having a lot of fun,” the insider told the celebrity magazine. “They had a blast 4th of July hanging out with a bunch of their friends.”

In April, the blond Playboy model told People she was looking forward to meeting some single guys on her new talk show. “I’m hoping to meet some [eligible bachelors] on my talk show,” she said after fellow talk-show host Chelsea Handler gave her the idea. “I keep telling my producers to book ... some cute, heterosexual single men.”

It just might have worked in McCarthy’s case, especially as she wrote a Splash blog post after a single, attractive and straight Wahlberg appeared on her VH1 show.

“Let’s just say we visually give ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ a run for its money,” McCarthy wrote. “It gets steamy. I mean like really steamy. Being turned on by a guy is always fun but to have it legitimately happen to you on TV is to be turned back into a 12-year-old. By the time we get into the groundbreaking interview, my face turns fifty shades of RED.”

McCarthy had a high-profile relationship with Jim Carrey for more than five years, but ended their relationship in 2010, Us Weekly wrote. She has a son, Evan, from a previous relationship. Wahlberg has two children, Xavier and Elijah, from his 9-year-marriage to now-ex-wife Kim Fey, who he divorced in 2008.

Neither Wahlberg nor McCarthy has yet to publicly comment on their apparently budding romance.
