HP has announced it will release more TouchPads for sale in the upcoming weeks, as the $99 TouchPad sale popularity initiated additional production of the discontinued tablet.

We don't know exactly when these units will be available or how many we'll get, and we can't promise we'll have enough for everyone, HP said in its blog, The Next Bench. We do know that it will be at least a few weeks before you can purchase.

Giving Apple's iPad a run for its money, all $499 of it, the HP TouchPad sold out in its initial run within the first day of the sale Aug. 20, which has sparked hype to attain the coveted TouchPad.

So why overpay for a $500 iPad or wait until the HP TouchPad sale part two begins, and most likely instantly ends before your browser even loads?
