  • "Doom Eternal" is being offered with a 25% discount on both Steam and Google Stadia
  • The Steam offer, however, will only last until May 12
  • "Doom Eternal" is only a month-old game, as it was just released last March

“Doom Eternal” was only released last March, but players can now avail the game on Steam and Google Stadia for a huge discount.

According to the latest update, the first-person shooter game by id Software is now available for $44.99 on both Steam and Stadia, which is 25% off the original $59.99 price. Moreover, the deluxe edition of the latest “Doom” installment is also offered with the same discount, now priced at $67.49 from $89.99.

For that not-in-the-know, “Doom Eternal” Deluxe Edition features a Year One Pass that gives players access to two campaign add-ons that will be released within the game's first year. It also includes a Demonic Slayer Skin, as well as a Classic Weapon Sound Pack and Throwback sound effects for guns.

The said offer, however, will only last until May 12 on Steam. Meanwhile, Google did not specify in their announcement until when their promo will run.

“Doom Eternal” has been a massive hit since its release, so the huge discount for just a one-month-old game is definitely a huge treat for fans looking to get a hold of the popular FPS title.

It is the fifth installment in the franchise and serves as a sequel to 2016 “Doom.” In the game, players take on the role of a Doom Slayer who fights demonic forces from hell.

According to publisher Bethesda, after its release on March 20, the game has quickly broken the franchise record for opening weekend sales, doubling the launch revenue of Doom (2016).” Moreover, based on the estimates made by Super Data, the game sold over 3 million digital units in March.

To put that number into a better perspective, the previous “Doom” installment sold only 957,000 units during its first month in May 2016.

“Doom Eternal” has been largely praised for its combat system, soundtrack and stunning graphics and visuals – giving it several distinguishing features over its predecessor. Luckily for fans, they can now enjoy the game for a much cheaper price on Steam and Stadia.

Currently, the game is playable on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will also be launched on Nintendo Switch, but there is no official release date yet for its rollout on the said platform.
