Dr. Miami Explains Why Briana DeJesus Got Plastic Surgery Down There

“Teen Mom 2” star Briana DeJesus shocked fans when she underwent a massive body makeover with celebrity plastic surgeon Michael Salzhauer in January 2016. She had a breast augmentation, Brazilian butt lift and a labiaplasty, which is essentially when the outer labia of the vagina are trimmed. Sounds extensive and painful to most, but Dr. Miami, as the surgeon is best known, explained why the MTV reality star chose to have the procedure.

She isn’t the only one. “Teen Mom” alum Farrah Abraham also had a labiaplasty by Dr. Miami. “People have labia envy. When they are intimate they want to feel comfortable,” Dr. Miami told Radar Online in an exclusive interview Tuesday. “Labiaplasty is so popular because of social media, as well as pornography. Women see what the ideal is and they see what their labia is supposed to look like. It is sometimes genetic, or it can be caused by having a baby.”

DeJesus, who was 22 at the time, had all three procedures done at the same time. “It is really one long operation. She was in a lot of pain and it takes about two weeks to recover,” the Florida-based doctor told Radar Online. “I gave Briana a whole new body. Everything from the neck down is different and, in my practice, it is common to get this all done at once.”

She had her makeover after she had her first child, Nova. She is currently pregnant with baby No. 2, but did not reveal the name of the father.

Dr. Miami wasn’t sure if DeJesus’ labia changed because of pregnancy. “I do not know whether it came from the baby, or if she was just genetically born like that,” he said. “But we trim the extra lady bits and make it neat and tucked.”

The reality star, who is from Florida, was reportedly thrilled wit the results. “The scar heals really nicely and it just blends very well,” Dr. Miami said.

When she underwent the procedure in 2016, she told Radar Online about the labiaplasty in her own words. It is “where they take the extra skin from your private area and remove it.”

“It's like extra skin down there that I don't think is necessary, so I'm just going to snip it up and tie it up and have a cute vagina,” she said. “When you get pregnant, your body changes. So I wanted to go back to my pre-pregnancy body.”

DeJesus admitted she had a “nice body,” but wanted “it to be perfect,” adding: “I want to be a cool young mom.”

Having three procedures done was a lot of work and DeJesus was apprehensive about going under the knife. “It's kind of scary,” she told Radar Online at the time. “I'm so nervous. Dr. Miami told me that when I wake up, I'm going to feel like a semi-truck ran over me a few times.”

DeJesus allowed Dr. Miami to film her graphic procedures for his famous Snapchat account. Kailyn Lowry also got work done by the celebrity surgeon on the same day as DeJesus. Dr. Miami called the day, “Super BBL Sunday,” since they both got Brazilian butt lifts. It’s a procedure where fat is liposuctioned from unwanted areas and then used to enhance the shape of the buttocks and hips.
