'Dragon Ball FighterZ' DLC: 4 New Characters Of 6 Confirmed For Season 2 Additions

The Red Bull Final Summoning crowned the "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Season 1 champion and announced the new DLC after the Grand Finals. So far, the new Season 2 DLC confirmed six incoming characters to DBFZ and four of them were revealed. Here’s what we know about the new “Dragon Ball FighterZ” DLC characters.

As seen on the official Bandai Namco Twitter, the new “Dragon Ball FighterZ” DLC trailer has shown Jiren and Videl as the first two DLC characters for second season of “Dragon Ball FighterZ.” In the series, Jiren was a main threat to the main characters as this alien from Universe 11 was able to take on three of them alone. Most of his attacks feature powerful energy attacks and punches that seemingly decimates his foes in seconds after the explosion.

Meanwhile, Videl is known to be the daughter of a World Champion and is currently the wife of Gohan in the current run of the series. In the fighting game, she is able to call the Great Saiyaman, which is Gohan in a superhero costume, as she fights enemies in battle. Many fans have been expecting these two characters as they’re one of the most requested characters due to Jiren’s infamous strength and the shortage of female characters in-game.

Moreover, the other two “Dragon Ball FighterZ” DLC characters revealed were Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Gogeta and the "Dragon Ball Super" movie version of Broly. SSGSS Gogeta, or simply Gogeta Blue, is the form that Goku and Vegeta fuses into as they fight Broly in the recent "Dragon Ball Super" movie. Meanwhile, the movie version Broly is different from the Legendary Super Saiyan Broly currently in the game. Unlike the other Broly, this Season 2 Broly wears Saiyan armor similar to Goku’s father, Bardock, and seemingly gets stronger as the battle continues longer. All fans know that this version of Broly was able to take on both Goku and Vegeta alone which is feels similar to their fight against Jiren.

For now, the first batch of the "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Season 2 DLC characters, namely Jiren and Videl, will be available for download on Jan. 31. Gogeta Blue, movie Broly, and the two mystery characters have yet to have their release dates announced. The mystery characters are expected to come first before Gogeta Blue and movie Broly. If the fans follow the previous DLC release dates in “Dragon Ball FighterZ,” the next two sets of DLCs would be released around August and September.
