KEY POINTS

  • 'Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot' will reportedly have a DLC coming after spring
  • The game is expected to add a playable Super Saiyan God and a new story arc
  • Full details of the DLC will allegedly be released on March 21

Dragon Ball Z fans should rejoice. If the latest rumors prove to be true, “Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot” players are in for a big treat.

In a Twitter post by Ken Xyro -- a Japanese translator and “Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot” fan who has unveiled accurate information about the game previously – he revealed that CyberConnect2 will be announcing the details of their upcoming downloadable content (DLC) which is slated for release after spring.

According to the alleged leak, there will be a playable Super Saiyan God in the DLC. Although there is no news about Super Saiyan Blue, this development is welcome news to players looking forward to playing the game with a new form.

Furthermore, some more key additions in the upcoming DLC are new skills and the ability to battle against Beerus.

One key highlight of the alleged leak is the fact that there will be a story arc titled "A New Awakening (Part 1: Whis' Training). As reported previously by GameRant, when the news of the DLC was revealed, many were hoping that the story arc that will be added would be an adaptation of the Gods of the Universe arc.

The news could be a cause of concern for fans, especially with the game seemingly focusing on Beerus and Whis only. For what it’s worth though, the game has only adapted the story from the Dragon Ball anime

Fortunately, fans and players alike will not have to wait for long before they get to know what is coming for “Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.”

The full details of the DLC, according to Ken Xyro, will be released on March 21. It is the first major DLC of the game after its release early this 2020.

“Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot” is one of the most popular games of CyberConnect2 and Bandai Namco. With game fatigue increasing about the franchise, it breathed new life to the series when it was released and sold over 1.5 million copies in just its first week alone.

While the warm welcome does not guarantee success, the developers and publishers continued efforts to provide more content to the players are expected to help the game continue to flourish.
