Matt Baier and Amber Portwood’s relationship started off on a happy note during Monday’s episode of “Teen Mom OG.” The installment ended with the couple putting their nuptials on the backburner, and it seems the issue stems from her concerns about drugs.

During the Season 6 episode, Amber told Matt their wedding was off after he gave a pill to her longtime co-star Catelynn Baltierra during a press event at MTV’s headquarters in New York City attended by International Business Times.

“Cait was having a lot of anxiety. I found out Matt gave her a Xanax and I’m freaking out because he shouldn’t have any if he’s clean,” Amber explained to the cameras.

Before the event, Matt approached Amber and asked for forgiveness. “Do you forgive Daddy? Wil you still marry me?” Matt said to Amber, who shook her head no in response. When Matt asked how she would address questions about their relationships during her interviews, she said she would lie.

While preparing for the interviews, Matt approached Catelynn to talk about the incident. “I didn’t mean to cause trouble,” Matt said. Catelynn admitted she told Amber that he gave her the pill to help her out during a panic attack, which surprised her.

“My buddy gave me a Xanax in case Amber needed it on the plane. That was it,” Matt explained. He went on to state that the previous night Amber accused him of being back on drugs. “I even said to Amber if I wanted it, why would it have been in my pocket? It would have been in my stomach,” he reasoned.

Despite her issues with Matt, Amber was seen telling press that her romance was still on track and explained why now is a great time to get married. “We’re ready,” she said.

Meanwhile, Matt slammed Amber to a producer.

“All I was doing was trying to help my friend. Now there’s rumors everybody’s talking about Matt was [expletive] up yesterday. He’s back on drugs,” Matt stated. “She wakes me up this morning. ‘We’re not getting married. You’re a [expletive] junky.’ I’m like what the [expletive] is going on! I’m done with this. I did not [expletive] deserve what happened to me yesterday.”

When Matt said he was concerned with what Amber would tell the press about their issues, he said he wanted his own opportunity to talk to reporters, saying, “Give me five minutes with press and I’ll tell them what she’s really like.”

Later in the episode, during a sit down with Cateylnn and co-star Maci McKinney, Amber admitted that she and Matt have never gone to counseling. When Catelynn said it would be “good” for them to attend, Amber simply shrugged.

“We’ll see but as of right now, I don’t know,” she said. “I think he has his own issues he needs to deal with... He would be lucky right now if we got married.”

The Ashley’s Reality Roundup reports that Amber seemingly confirmed her breakup from Matt during an Instagram live session Saturday night. “Do you see him in my bed?” Amber reportedly said when asked by fans if she and Matt were still together. She is also said to have told viewers that she “had no man.”
