Dwayne Johnson is to be honored by the Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) in March. The 48-year-old actor took to Instagram on Wednesday to post a picture featuring him, and shared his thoughts on his journey.

"This one is very special to me and I’m deeply honored and even more so - deeply grateful to receive this high honor from the @hollywoodcriticsassociation," he wrote.

Johnson added everyone wants to create a "little impact" in the business by doing something good for people.

"Over the course of one’s career, you hope to make a little impact in your business," he added. "Do some good for people and hopefully add a little value to their lives, with what you’re lucky and blessed enough to have."

The “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” star will be honored with the HCA Trailblazer Award on March 5 at the 4th annual HCA Film Awards, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"I’m really honored and quite moved by this recognition by this particular cadre of friends, that I’ve had the privilege of knowing and growing with over all these years," the actor concluded the post.

HCA Trailblazer Award has been formed in order to honor filmmakers and actors who advocate and speak out on social issues. HCA chairman Scott Menzel issued an official statement and praised Johnson for using his voice to bring about social change.

"Dwayne Johnson epitomizes everything our Trailblazer Award stands for," Menzel said. "He goes above and beyond on many things in the world that actually matter and uses his voice to do good in a time most needed."

Johnson has teamed up with his business partner Dany Garcia under the company named Seven Bucks Productions and created projects like "Hobbs & Shaw" for Universal, adventure fantasy "Jungle Cruise" for Disney, and NBC's "The Titan Games."

NBC also aired the first episode of "Young Rock" sitcom on Feb. 16, which is based on Johnson's life. The sitcom features extraordinary events in the actor's life as a kid and teenager.

Besides his contribution to films, Johnson has also donated to first responders and frontline workers during the pandemic. He also used his platform to support the Black Lives Matter movement, Broadway World reported.
