Dwayne Johnson has an interesting idea that may excite fans – a crossover movie between Marvel and DC Universe.

Johnson revealed that he had a conversation with his co-stars Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot regarding the crossover Marvel and DC Universe movie. Reynolds portrayed "Deadpool" in Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero movies, while Gadot played Wonder Woman for DC Universe.

"What we were just talking about today was, I turned to Ryan and Gal and I said, there should be a crossover Marvel and DC Universe," Johnson told a Variety reporter during the premiere of his newly released "Red Notice" on Wednesday. "We can be the ones to possibly make it happen. So we'll see, we'll see what happens down the road."

Fans had mixed reactions to Johnson's comment. While many of them were excited with the prospect of a crossover movie, others simply rejected the idea.

Marvel and DC previously had made several crossovers through their comic books, including "The Uncanny X-Men and The New Teen Titans." However, no live-action movie has been made yet. Director James Gunn, who made "The Suicide Squad" for DC and "Guardians of the Galaxy" for Marvel, in July spoke about making a crossover between his two movies.

Johnson's "Red Notice" will release on Netflix this Friday. The movie is directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber.

He will also lend his voice to an animated comedy movie, "DC League of Super-Pets," which is slated to release on May 20, 2022. Jared Stern directed the movie and other stars, including Keanu Reeves, John Krasinski, Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon and Jameela Jamil, also lent their voices in the movie.

Johnson's highly anticipated movie, "Black Adam," which is helmed by director Jaume Collet-Serra, is slated to release on July 29, 2022. The actor will also feature in "The King," "San Andreas 2," "Doc Savage" and "Big Trouble in Little China."

Besides working in movies, the 49-year-old actor is also interested in joining politics. "I do have that goal to unite our country and I also feel that if this is what the people want, then I will do that," he noted.
