Eastwooding Meme Floods Web With People Pointing At Empty Chairs Like Clint Eastwood [PHOTOS]

Eastwooding is the latest meme to hit the Internet, with the web being deluged of photos of people pointing at empty chairs at a nod to the peculiar shtick used by actor Clint Eastwood last night at the 2012 Republican National Convention.

While Eastwood's act drew laughter inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum, those outside the convention hall were left scratching their heads when the actor spoke with an invisible President Obama, who was sitting on a chair on stage.

"Mr. President, how do you handle promises you've made running for election and how do you handle it?" asked a rambling Eastwood. "I mean, what do you say to people?"

Eastwood then went on about how some Democrats were angered how Obama bailed on his promise to close the detention center at Guantanamo Bay.

"What do you mean, shut up?" Eastwood asked the invisible Obama. "I thought it was just because somebody had a stupid idea of trying terrorists in New York City."

"What do you want me to tell Romney?" Eastwood asks at another point. "I can't tell him to do that to himself."

Eastwood's appearance at the convention was one of the most talked about items to come out of the event and led to the Eastwooding meme that flooded websites like Tumblr and Instagram.

Romney's wife, Ann Romney, sidestepped questions as to whether she believed Eastwood's act was a distraction or a mistake.

"He's a unique guy and he did a unique thing last night," she told "CBS This Morning" in what was an awkward interview.

She also said she was not aware what Eastwood would do once he took the stage.

"I didn't know it was coming," Ann Romney said before speaking about the convention in general.

"Again, I can tell you we're grateful for everyone's support and especially grateful for what a great night it was last night."
