Ed Sheeran Teases Release Date Of His New Song With Taylor Swift [Watch]
Ed Sheeran, who walked the red carpet at the 2022 Brit Awards on Tuesday, teased the release date of a new collaboration with singer Taylor Swift.
In a seven seconds clip, shared by LAD Bible on its Instagram Stories, Sheeran reveals that the new collab "comes out Friday and it's with Taylor Swift. We're literally announcing that in, like, an hour." A user shared the video on Twitter.
However, there is no official announcement yet on the project.
Fans can expect a remix of "The Joker and the Queen" from Sheeran's album "=," which was dropped last October. A fan shared last week a screenshot of the song's YouTube video that mentioned Swift's name.
The 2022 Brit Awards was held at The O2 Arena in London. Sheeran walked the red carpet donning a blue velvet suit and a white shirt. He completed his look with a black tie.
"Opening the @brits today for the first time, and also playing another song later in the show," Sheeran captioned his Instagram post. "Tune in, it's gonna be mega, thanks to @etro for the threads x."
The event was hosted by comedian Mo Gilligan and was opened by Sheeran, along with the rock band Bring Me the Horizon. The singer took to Instagram Tuesday to share a glimpse of his performance.
"Bad Habits with @bringmethehorizon at the @brits tonight," he captioned the video. "Thanks for having us x."
This is not the first time Sheeran and Swift have teamed up on a project. The musical duo has previously collaborated on numerous projects, including the music album "Red," which was released in 2012.
Sheeran joined Swift for the opening performance of "The Red Tour," which was held from 2013 to 2014. The singer was also featured in Swift's 2017 music video "End Game."
Besides his musical journey, Sheeran is currently filming an action-comedy movie, "Sumotherhood," which is helmed by director Adam Deacon.
The singer tied the knot with Cherry Seaborn in 2019. The couple welcomed a baby girl, named Lyra Antarctica, in August 2020.
