Ellen Pompeo Breaks Silence On 'Grey's Anatomy' Exit After Husband's Sighting With Mystery Blonde

Ellen Pompeo broke her silence on the news that she's exited "Grey's Anatomy" as a full-time cast member.

The 43-year-old Hollywood actress took to Instagram Thursday to address her fans and followers who have been with her since she started portraying Meredith Grey on the show in 2005.

Pompeo uploaded a photo of herself in a mustard turtleneck and hoop earrings. She posed in front of a neon sign that read, "All you need is love."

"I am eternally grateful and humbled by the love and support you have all shown me, Meredith Grey and the show for 19 seasons! Through it all... none of it ... would have been possible without the best fans in the world. You all are RIDERS, and you all have made the ride so fun and ICONIC," the TV actress captioned her post.

She continued, "I love you madly and appreciate you right back. This isn't your first time on the rollercoaster. You know the show must go on, and I'll definitely be back to visit. With a lot of love and immense gratitude, XoE."

Pompeo's announcement that she would be back after the Nov. 10 fall finale came months after Deadline confirmed in August that she would be scaling back on her on-screen presence on the hit medical drama.

In the fall finale, her character announced her departure from Grey Sloan in an email. However, she is expected to return for the "Grey's Anatomy" Season 19 finale.

The news came just days after Pompeo's husband, Chris Ivery, was photographed grabbing dinner with a mystery blonde in Malibu, California. The 55-year-old ultra-private music producer was spotted having a meal with another woman at celeb hotspot Nobu on Tuesday.

In the photos, the blonde beauty sported a black mini dress and a trendy oversized beige blazer. She appeared to be chatting with another dinner guest at one point.

Around the same time Ivery was seen with the mystery woman, his wife was captured out and about in the Big Apple wearing the mustard turtleneck.

There hasn't been any news or confirmation about any marital problem between the couple. However, it's worth noting that the last time they were spotted together in public was in July, when they attended the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda women's show.
