Elon Musk, Amber Heard End Romance Because ‘Timing Wasn’t Good,’ Source Claims

Amber Heard and Elon Musk decided to call it quits after a year of dating.

It’s officially over for Heard, 31, and Musk, 46. The pair decided to end their year-long romance because they have different priorities.

“The timing wasn’t good for them,” a source told Us Weekly. “He’s super busy and works all the time. Amber is filming [Aquaman] in Australia until October. She’s in no position to settle with him. She feels her career is just starting.”

However, another source claimed that Heard was devastated because it was Musk who decided to end their relationship. “It’s all over between Amber and Elon and she’s devastated. It was his decision,” a source told Daily Mail. “He ended it a week ago. He’d heard certain things about her behaviour that didn’t sit well with him. Amber can be very manipulative and selfish. Elon’s back in LA while she’s licking her wounds in Australia.”

“The Rum Diary” star and the Tesla CEO first met in 2013 on the set of “Machete Kills.” A source told Entertainment Tonight in April that the ex-couple first met “a few years back while Amber was with Johnny [Depp] and [they] were strictly friends.” The insider added that Musk was very attentive to Depp’s ex, which was an indication that he liked her. Their romance developed over time.

Musk and Heard started dating after she filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Johnny Depp, in May 2016. On the other hand, Musk finalized his second marriage with Talulah Riley in November 2016.

Heard and Musk kept their romance low key. Their relationship made headlines in July 2016 when they were spotted leaving each other’s rooms at the Delano Hotel in Miami. However, it took almost a year before they admitted their romantic status.

Heard confirmed their romance on Instagram when she shared a photo of her with Musk. The two are sitting together and Musk is looking in another direction with a kiss mark on his cheek. Beside him, Heard is wearing a bright lipstick with her arms casually draping on his right shoulder. “The Danish Girl” star wrote “Cheeky” in the caption.
