  • Grimes said she wanted to modify her face by getting elf ears and vampire teeth caps
  • Elon Musk reacted to her tweet about getting elf ears, saying the downside of the surgery outweighs the upside
  • The "Oblivion" singer made an appointment with a great plastic surgeon two years ago to modify her face

Grimes asked the netizens on Twitter some surgeon recommendations for getting an elf ear surgery, but Elon Musk seemingly disapproved of it based on the latter's comment on the former's tweet.

On Monday, Grimes took to Twitter to ask her followers and fans if they knew anyone who could help her lifelong desire to have elf ears. But her ex and baby daddy seemingly discouraged her from doing it.

"Also, has anyone done elf ear mods with a good outcome? I'm scared about ear cartilage having a hard time healing. Especially as a musician, this surgery seems risky, but I've wanted it my whole life. Curious about people's experiences!" Grimes tweeted.

"The downside of elf ear surgery probably outweighs the upside," Musk commented.

"Tbh this sounds like a job for crispr. Sad to be born just a few generations too early," the "Oblivion" singer commented back.

Grimes did not shy away from discussing her plans to modify her face. In a separate series of tweets, she shared that she had an appointment with a great plastic surgeon because she was thinking of "changing things up by my mid-30s." However, the plan didn't move forward because "I forgot and never thought about what I should do."

So, she asked the netizens if they had any face modification recommendations that would look good on her.

Aside from having elf ears, the "Genesis" artist planned to have vampire teeth caps.

"Also does anyone know anyone great/ safe/ reliable [people] who could do vampire teeth caps on me in Austin or [L.A.]?" she asked.

In the same tweet, she mentioned her desire for elf ears by asking if there were "any reputable elf ear modifiers" in either of the cities she mentioned. The 34-year-old artist admitted that she was "still debating this surgery cuz cartilage doesn't heal, so it requires permanent stitches."

Grimes' posts received mixed reactions. She was aware that some were not as open as her in discussing such body modifications, so she apologized if any found it offensive.

"Ps sorry if weird 2 discuss this openly, just seems unhealthy how every1 in media hides body mods, then [people] feel self-conscious," she added. "I'm also less interested in conventional beauty (I will keep my nose) - but more so is there anything else that [would] look sick? It's dr kao."

Grimes and Musk secretly welcomed their second baby via surrogate in December 2021. They named their daughter Exa Dark Sideræl, but she goes by Y.

The secret got out when Y cried while she was doing an interview with Vanity Fair, forcing the celebrity mom of two to open up about their second child.

Grimes and Musk also share son X Æ A-XII, who goes by X. She added that they had plans to give X and Y more siblings. The singer said they wanted to have three or four kids.

The SpaceX and Tesla CEO has five sons from his previous marriage — twins Griffin and Xavier, 17, and triplets Damian, Saxon, and Kai, 16. He also has twins with Shivon Zilis, a top executive at Neuralink. Zilis gave birth to their kids in November 2021, ahead of the arrival of Y, Yahoo! Life reported.
