Eminem Slams Lana Del Rey In New Song, Azealia Banks Defends Her On Twitter [VIDEO]
After Eminem’s gaunt look at the Wall Street Journal’s Innovator of the Year Awards in New York City last Wednesday shocked fans, Slim Shady took attention off his face by threatening to punch “Young and Beautiful” singer Lana Del Rey in the face in his new song "ShadyXV – The CXVpher.”
In the collaboration, which was released with Slaughterhouse and YelaWolf to promote his coming Shady XV compilation album, Eminem calls out violence against Del Rey and cites the Ray Rice/Janay Palmer scandal, Us Weekly reported.
“But I may fight for gay rights, especially if the dyke is more of a knockout than Janay Rice / Play nice?" Eminem raps in the video. "Bitch I'll punch Lana Del Rey right in the face twice, like Ray Rice in broad daylight in the plain sight of the elevator surveillance / 'Til her head is banging on the railing, then celebrate with the Ravens.”
Though Del Rey has not responded, she has said in the past she was a fan of the rapper. "Eminem is the master of lyrics whereas Frank Sinatra is the master of vocals,” she told Italian publication RNB Punk in 2012. “I f---ing love Eminem."
Even if Del Rey has not said anything about rapper’s comments, her friend Azealia Banks came to her defense on Twitter. "@LanaDelRey tell him to go back to his trailer park and eat his microwave hotpocket dinner and suck on his sisters tiddies," Banks, 23, tweeted.
Celebrity feuds are nothing new for Em, 42. In the past he has called out Christina Aguilera, Moby and most recently Khloe Kardashian.
Years ago, the rapper entered rehab after admitting he was taking 10 to 20 Vicodin pills a day. “My bottom was going to be death…I didn't feel any pain. [The pills] just kind of numbed things…had I got to the hospital about two hours later, I would have died,” he said in a 2013 documentary, according to Us Weekly. “My organs were shutting down. My liver, kidneys, everything. They were gonna have to put me on dialysis, they didn't think I was gonna make it."
